“split seams / loose stitches” presents the body as one’s origin — redefining it from an object in space to space itself. it magnifies the disassociation of identity from its physical manifestation, thereby attempting to measure displacement solely across the axis of time, independent of three-dimensional space.

if the body is the origin, i can never outrun it. no matter how far and wide i scatter my ashes and disperse my organs, my skin stretches beyond its confines. this home will always be split seams and unfinished stitches. how can i search for something new when every move brings me back to the start? position is relative and space is constantly reset. only the passage of time parallels me, but i fear time is not enough to break the body.
